Leonberger Bitch in
animal shelter Unna

 Report on the Leonberger Bitch
"Lady Nobody" a.ka. Imogene

 - given by the animal shelter in Unna into the "temporary" care of

Ms. E. Steffen until further transport to Mrs. Renée Kutcher

final owner of the animal shelter female - purebred Leonberger,

tattooed in the left ear, possibly 753 ???, temporary care provided by Ms.

 E. Steffen, 51 Lentorfstrasse, 45307 Essen - until flight to the USA on the

weekend, latest on Mon/Tue (Oct. 2/3), has been finally organized, depending

 on possibility/booking etc.

The bitch will be taken to the airport by Ms. E. Steffen & husband

and picked up at its final destination by Ms. R. Kutcher.

The total transport costs are paid by Mrs. Renée Kutcher from her

 own private funds.

"Lady Nobody" will be presented to the public veterinary on Friday,

 29. Sept. 2000 at the Veterinary Authority of Essen, who will issue the

necessary "Public Veterinary's certificate". As this certificate usually

documents identity as well as the perfect health and condition" of the

animal - which in this case will not be easy, even though all people

involved have tried their best, but only the "Lord" can work miracles - the

public authorities (public veterinary) have supplied as a farewell gift a

good  Mix out of brain and heart and soul"

so that this Public Veterinary's Certificate could still be issued
with "good" conscience.

Well, you simply have to use "the right tone" - whether with

authorities or with animal shelters or politicians or, in every-day-life,

from person to person. You do not need a press ID nor a title - but just

this "Mix out of brain and heart and soul" that's what you need to have.

"Lady Nobody" will be examined by a vet immediately upon her arrival

in the USA, if the mamma tumors should turn out to be malignant ones and an

operation should be possible in consideration of the heart/circulation

condition, the bitch will be operated, moreover either a CT or and
X-Ray will be done to document to status of the bones and start
a corresponding treatment.

Germany - the animal shelter in Unna (if so desired, also the one in

Essen) will be updated on the condition of the female. It would be great,
if  this female could still live another 2 or 3 or even more years in a great
home as a "living example" for human atrocities that exist
everywhere in the world.

Allegedly the Leonberger is "only a rare breed"!!! which makes it

only the more outraging that an example of a "rare breed" ends up on the

garbage just like that and then is picked up by the public authorities and

turned over to the animal shelter.

The animal shelter people had to wash the female SEVERAL TIMES,
before even the expert could safely say that it was a Leonberger, before
the bitch looked more like a Leonberger cross.

According to the description, the bitch must have been in a very
desperate state, she had to be nursed back to health first, then on
21 July she received a complete set of vaccinations and was again
thoroughly checked before she was given to Ms. Steffen.

Such medical report was handed over to Ms. Steffen as well as
a completely filled-in vaccination pass (no statement
is possible of course regarding prior vaccinations,
as Lady Nobody CANNOT SPEAK, too bad).
